Carrefour:Supermarket chain on Sıraselviler Street for groceries
Kopuzlar :Supermarket chain on Sıraselviler Street for groceries
Balık Pazari :Fish market. Historic marketplace on Istiklal Street. Good range of fresh vegetables and fruit, and flowers. Fresh fish, pork and dried nuts can be found here.
Beyoglu Is Merkezi :Great value clothes shopping. Underwear and outer wear, children’s clothes. Factory outlet for end of line and designer label seconds.
Terkos Cikmazi :Terkos blind alley. Cheap clothes shopping. Underwear and outer wear, children’s clothes. Some items are seconds.
Istiklal Street :Walk along one of Istanbul’s oldest streets and see international brands.
Atlas Pasajı :Second hand and grunge clothes shopping
Anabala Han :Second hand and grunge clothes shopping. Very elegant jeweler and unique jewellery designs from designer Rubi.
Danisman Gecidi :Hazzapoulo Passage. Cosmetics, sewing equipment, hats, all kinds of itsy bitsy things sold here.
Avrupa Pasajı :Antiques and jewellery shopping.
Cukurcuma and Faikpasa:An area full of antique shops.
Asri Tursucu:Pickle shop in Firuzaga
Old Man’s Bakery :This is a shop with no name opposite the back of Firuzaga Mosque. He bakes and sells deliciously crunchy sesame sticks. ( Not to be confused with the other pastry shops situated around the mosque ).
Aznavur Pasaji :Clothing, jewellery, candles, gifts, exotic goods
Galip Dede Street :Musical instruments
Savoy:Pastry shop in Cihangir
Lebon :Pastry shop in Tunel area

Hayri Kebab House:The tastiest yet cheapest Kebab restaurant in Beyoglu!
Kızılkayalar :Small doner shop at the Taksim end of Istiklal Street. Best Turkish “hamburger!” Cheap and quick.
Bereket :Turkish meals and doner. Cheap and quick
Hacı Abdullah :Turkish meals with a high standard. Mostly for lunches, no alcohol.
Saray Muhallebicisi :Turkish fast food. Pastry.
Inci Pastanesi :Profiterole, lemonade
Nevizade :Street where meyhanes line up, leading to the Balik Pazari
Refik :Meyhane in Tunel area
Yakup 2 :Refik’s assistant opened another shop, just as good. In Tunel area.
5. Kat :Restaurant and bar in Cihangir with superb view
Tea gardens around Firuzaga mosque
Limonlu Bahçe :Unexpected garden in the middle of Beyoglu, on Yeni Carsi Street.
Lale Iskembecisi :On Tarlabasi Boulevard, towards the end of Taksim.
Udonya Japanese Restaurant :On Tarlabasi Boulevard, towards Taksim end.
Tegik :Chinese, Korean restaurant on Recep Pasa Street. Owner Madame Choi is nice.
Venta del Toro :Spanish restaurant across Galata Tower, beautiful decoration.
Galata Tower Tea House
Galata Tower Restaurant :Restaurant with Turkish show. Superb view (same as that of the tower).
Nupera :Hip restaurant on Tepebasi Avenue, comfort food.
Sofra London Restaurant :Top of Cartoon Hotel. Delicious Turkish food.
Cumhuriyet Meyhanesi:In Balik Pazari, renowned old meyhane.
